Uniting Against Lung Cancer is committed to fight lung cancer by funding innovative research and increasing awareness of the disease, including in never smokers.

2009 Research Grants

Deadline for submission was May 15, 2009. The 2009 proposals are currently under review. Awards will be announced in September with funding to begin no later than January 1, 2010. The deadline for applications for the next funding cycle will be announced shortly.

Flying High After TWO Successful Events!
Kites for a Cure™ 

Summer 2009 was kicked off in style with TWO Kites for a Cure events on Long Island benefitting Uniting Against Lung Cancer. Guests had fun and helped raise awareness and funds for lung cancer research. Together these events raised nearly $100,000 for our programs!

Hope Now Awards

The 2008 "Caine Halter Hope Now Award for Lung Cancer Research” has been awarded to Dr. Eric Haura of Moffitt Cancer Center to recognize his demonstrated progress in seeking to develop novel treatment options for lung cancer survivors.
